Shaker style bedroom wardrobe

The Brief

The clients main brief was to hide the boiler and utilities, so they were not visible. There were fuses, water tank, boiler and the utility meters all visible and it wasn’t safe. When discussing the brief, there was also an obvious need for more storage for duvets, garments and coats.

The Solution

We commissioned two double wardrobes with a traditional shaker design. One of the double wardrobes was measured exactly and customised to house the utilities and boiler while still keeping as much space as possible for the other wardrobe.

We added a larger top shelf for duvet and bed linen storage while implementing wide drawers and hanging rails. We used a beautiful light grey door with a smooth matt finish. We contrasted the wardrobe interiors by using the popular Lissa Oak.
