Our History and Values

Here at Wharfedale Interiors, we are immensely proud of our history and humble beginnings. Established in 1993 from a small workshop in Ilkley, we have continued our expansion to now having showrooms across West and North Yorkshire and a dedicated manufacturing facility in Ilkley.

Our team of staff includes highly skilled craftsmen and specialised personnel who are able to create state-of-the-art fitted furniture and interiors. Our experience and expertise in fitted and bespoke furniture has meant we are unrivalled in the industry for quality and service. In fact, our team have over 200 years of knowledge in designing and commissioning bespoke furniture and interior design.

Timeline

November 1993

Wharfedale Fitted Furniture was established to create beautiful fitted bedroom wardrobes using only the finest materials and master craftsmen.

March 2005

Completed our 1,000th fitted bedroom wardrobe for a client in Ilkley. A beautiful shaker style wardrobe with knob handles and a matt finish.

April 2012

Due to demand, we started manufacturing and supplying made to measure kitchens and appliances for retail and trade clients.

July 2015

Completed our 100th made to measure kitchen installation for a client in Leeds.

June 2016

Wharfedale Interiors takes on international market-leading Pronorm brand, producing stunning German kitchens.

December 2019

Business was taken over by entrepreneur, Rhys Boven. Project Manager, Kyle Moulson, joined the team to oversee projects and quotes.

January 2020

The team expands to introduce new cabinet makers, account managers and installers – improving on systems, quality, and service.

March 2020

Wharfedale Interiors takes on world-renowned brands, Quooker, Novy and Bora. A perfect partnership.

August 2020

Ilkley MP, Robbie Moore officially opened our dedicated manufacturing facility in West Yorkshire.

September 2020

The expansion of our flagship showroom in Ilkley starts, adding 7 new displays including kitchens, home offices, walk-in wardrobes, lounge furniture and a showcase of padded walls we can commission for clients.

October 2023

Wharfedale Interiors starts the next phase of its life, under new ownership by local businessman Kurt Bye. With years of experience as a joiner, before going on to run a respected family building business, Kurt brings a wealth of skills and a keen eye for good design.
